Emily Bett Rickards born July 24, 1991, is a Canadian actor, best known for portraying Felicity Smoak in The CW television series Arrow. Rickards was born and raised within British Columbia. She began her acting career from a young age, learning about musical theatre, dancing and other forms of entertainment. Her high school graduation was before her schedule and began studying at the Vancouver Film School where she earned her acting essentials certificate. The open call following it was discovered that an agent had been found for her. Alida Vocal Studio is located in Vancouver. She was originally signed to be a guest on one episode of the series, but her positive reactions from viewers and her ability to joke was the catalyst for her to first appear as a guest-star and later to co-star in the rest of season 1.
