Anna Silk was the first daughter of Peter Silk (an academic) and Ilkay Silk (a writer, actor director, producer, playwright and professor at St. Thomas University). Anna Silk was the child of a Briton and a Turkish Cypriot English ex-pat. As a young girl, she appeared in commercials of various kinds. Anna was able to move to Toronto Ontario in order to pursue her acting. Over the years which followed, she moved into Los Angeles. Seth Cooperman was introduced to Anna in Los Angeles at an acting workshop in 2007. They got engaged in the year 2009. They were married in a civil ceremony that ended in December. They they renewed their vows at the form of a Jewish ceremony in Fredericton in April 2011, in the wake of Anna's conversion into Judaism.
